KidzPartners provides excellent health coverage for kids of all ages. All children with KidzPartners are covered for a wide range of health services, including:

Doctor visits

KidzPartners covers well-child visits, immunizations (shots) and sick visits. Your child’s doctor will provide direct care and can refer your child to specialists (if needed).

Specialist visits

Your child can visit participating specialists when referred by your child’s doctor. Prior authorization (approval by Health Partners Plans) may be required for certain services.

Fitness center memberships

All KidzPartners members can join a participating YMCA or fitness center at a low cost! Joining a gym through KidzPartners is a great way to get fit and healthy!

Prescriptions

KidzPartners covers prescribed drugs on our formulary (plan-approved list) when obtained from a participating pharmacy.

Dental checkups and cleanings

Preventive, routine and emergency services are covered (no referrals required). Orthodontics (braces) are covered when medically necessary. Certain services may require prior authorization.

Eye exams and eyeglasses

Preventive and routine vision services are covered (no referrals required). All KidzPartners members are eligible for two pairs of eyeglasses or contact lenses each year.

Emergency care and hospital stays

Your child is covered for emergency care. KidzPartners members are covered for up to 90 days for inpatient hospital care.

Mental health and substance abuse services

KidzPartners covers medically necessary substance abuse and mental health services. Both inpatient and outpatient services are covered, and are coordinated by a behavioral health company called Magellan Behavioral Health of PA.
